Police have recovered thousands of pounds stolen from a rural post office in Cornwall which resulted in two men being arrested.
The burglary at Luxulyan, near St Austell, took place yesterday morning when three men broke into the family-run business.
Inspector Dave Meredith, of Devon and Cornwall Police, said: "It is not yet clear how the offenders broke in, but it is believed they left with thousands."
The suspects made off in a black Volkswagen Golf, believed to have been stolen.
It was later located by police on the A38 near Liskeard at around 5am and a car chase ensued before the Golf collided with a white Ford Transit van at the junction of Castle Street and Higher Lux street in the town.
No-one was injured in the collision.
Two men, aged 25 and 26, were later located by officers nearby and arrested.
Insp Meredith said: "The third suspect is still at large and is currently being sought by officers."
Police are urging anyone with information on the robbery or the collision at Liskeard to call them on 101 quoting log reference number 63 30/11/11.
