Greetings,
I attended my assessment and provided all my details to Angard in early October. However I'm getting increasingly worried now as it's coming close to the proposed start date and I have yet to have heard back from them - is it worth contacting them or will that put them off as it looks like I am being pushy? I don't know if anyone else has received offers back from them yet, I could just be being paranoid!
Regards

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I'll chase them up, from the sounds of it Angard got a lot of help last year from the Job Center with the recruitment but they've done it all on their own this year!
The impression they gave us at the "interview" was that if you passed the test, had the relevant documents and didn't smell of alcohol and have greasy hair then you were more or less guaranteed a shift.

The online app form section is saying for me "hired and start date agreed". That's nice to know but I've not heard anything from them since the assessment event in September. What fun.

Thankfully that's only for new starts otherwise half my office would be out of a job.andrewh88 wrote:and didn't smell of alcohol and have greasy hair then you were more or less guaranteed a shift.

Mine still says submitted. I rang them today and they told me they weren't going to be contacting anyone until next week..jt64 wrote:The online app form section is saying for me "hired and start date agreed". I know people who work at the MDEC too and they say Angard are still doing the interview sessions on a regular basis so who knows what's going on.
