THIEVES stole £200 from a post office.
A window was forced open in the kitchen attached to Barnack post office, on Main Street, between 11.30pm on Friday, August 12, and 3.50am on Saturday, August 13.
The burglar took the cash from the kitchen and tried to enter the living quarters but set off an alarm.
Owner Peter Farrer said: “The alarm woke me up but by the time I got down they had gone.
“There has been a big police presence in Peterborough so I suppose people are coming out to the villages instead."
