Peacehaven not affected by new post delivery

Hundreds of households have received confirmation they will not be affected by Royal Mail cost-cutting moves.

Nearly 6,000 people and 500 businesses in Newhaven and surrounding villages such as Denton, South Heighton and Piddinghoe will be affected by a change in the way the firm delivers post.

Revised delivery routes which are being phased in gradually will mean some people will not receive their post until after 4pm.

But Brighton Kemptown MP Simon Kirby has received confirmation from Royal Mail that routes in Peacehaven will be unaffected.

A spokeswoman for Royal Mail said that with fewer letters and more packages being delivered every day, the service needed to make the changes to delivery routes to become as efficient as possible.

Businesses which have a timed delivery service will not see any change in the way their mail is delivered.

dont get that at all. how come some offices are delivering till 4 in the aft but peacehaven is finishing at 1 ?? im of the opinion that all offices should be run the same way
