A MAN who was killed in a road crash in Henstridge has been named by police.

Graham Wilkins, 48, died when the vehicle he was in collided with a gate on an unnamed road off the A30 Shaftesbury Road on Tuesday, June 21.

Royal Mail confirmed he worked as a postman in the area. A spokesman said: "Royal Mail can sadly confirm that a Wincanton postman, Graham Wilkins, was tragically killed in a road traffic accident."

Wincanton delivery office manager Kim Clark said: "Graham was a well respected and very popular colleague and our thoughts at this time are very much with his family and friends."

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision and are particularly keen to speak to a cyclist who was seen in the area at the time and may have information to help the investigation.
