Radlett Royal Mail delivery office to close

ROYAL Mail has announced it will close its Radlett Delivery Office in early 2012 forcing customers to collect mail from Borehamwood.

The decision to shut the Watling Street premises was made because of “declining mail volumes and increasingly tough trading conditions”.

The organisation says the move to Shenley Road, Borehamwood, will provide improved working conditions, secure employment and a more cost-effective operation.

More detailed information is due to be released in the coming weeks, but bosses say there will be no compulsory redundancies and staff will be reimbursed for any extra mileage incurred as a result of the move.
