Hi we both work as postman/woman in Petersfield.
We are concerned with what is happening to Royal Mail as we seem to moving towards a greedy grasping ethos rather than a good and proper service.
All the while we have a universal posting rate we are a service and should be run as thus.
We should shout loud about the unfairness of the unbalanced playing field in which we supposedly "compete" against the competition.
The competition should pay full rate for our services as delivery, we should not let them have any access to our machinery .
If they want to compete then let them , let them employ thousands of postmen, let them put in their own letterboxes, let them put in pouch boxes......oh i forgot they want to compete the easy way using our machinery and our letter boxes and our postal staff.. competition !! i think not.
I would also like to see their delivery success figures so we can see just how well they are doing and so could the customer.
It might be also worthwhile someone pouring over ancient laws as The Royal Mail has quite a lot of old laws to protect it, which presumably the competition would not.
ANNOUNCEMENT : ALL OF ROYAL MAIL'S EMPLOYMENT POLICIES (AGREEMENTS) AT A GLANCE (Updated 2021)... HERE
ANNOUNCEMENT : PLEASE BE AWARE WE ARE NOT ON FACEBOOK AT ALL!
what is a service ?.

Hello and Welcome to rmc Bedfordrl
That was some intro. Think you're going to fit into this
site just fine. Totally agree with you. But Leighton & Crozier
think RM is a business to be prepared for privatisation.
We have to persuade the public and the Government that we
should continue to be what we have always been - a public service.
Look forward to hearing your views.
And please spread the word about this site.

Welcome to the site mate and what a start you have made, We should stay a public service and give what the public want which is early deliverys and not what :cfo want to do, in football terms its the players that perform and earn the money, its us posties that perform so we should get the money not :cfo and the sit on the arse drinking coffee DOM's, we do the job for them, without us there woudlnt be a RM so lets stick together and never settle for second best. !!!
