Postman Pat collection box raises hundreds for charity

MORE than £550 was raised for the NSPCC through a collection box at Hertford post office.

The Postman Pat collection box was in place for about a year and was found to contain £551.

Nigel Poulton, the honorary treasurer of the Hertford branch of the NSPCC, thanked all those who had donated and the Hertford Santander branch, which banked £151 in coppers for the charity.

The box has now been returned to the post office so customers can continue to support the children’s charity.
