Well done to Royal Mail and to our postman

A SPECIAL 'thank you' to our regular postman (from Tapton sorting office) whose round includes the Westminster Estate at Lodge Moor for this week delivering to us a Christmas card we thought had got lost.

A friend had posted this card on December 15, scribbled our address in almost indecipherable writing and foolishly enclosed a large amount of cash as a gift without registering it. I had mentioned this (including the contents) to our postman a few days before Christmas and he said he would look out for it but that it may have got put on a pile for sorting afterwards if there was a problem with an incomplete address.

Lo and behold, a couple of days ago he safely delivered the card to us. A lovely surprise which made our day.

Well done, Royal Mail, but especially a big thank you to our postman for, without his honesty and vigilance in locating the card, we would not have received it.
It was much appreciated.
