MP's anger over xmas Post Office queues

IRVINE’S busy Post Office is only working with half staff during the busiest time of the year, an MP claimed this week.

Furious Central Ayrshire MP Brian Donohoe is to raise the lack of counter staff with PO bosses after he learned only four of the eight counters are open. He said he had received many complaints from customers who had to wait for up to 15 minutes.

Mr Donohoe said: “There are never more than half the counters open regardless of the time of day.”

The MP said he will raise the matter with Royal Mail and Post Office managers to seek assurances that the premises will be fully staffed.

He went on: “I have even had a constituent say they used the office three times in a single day – in the morning, at lunch time and against at 5pm.

“On none of these occasions were there more than three people serving and that’s despite a massive queue resulting in a waiting time of at least a quarter of an hour. This is not good enough. Extra efforts should be made at this time of year to ensure customers are served quickly.”

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Maybe if people like that got their act together and only went once in a single day, there wouldn't be a queue!
