special leave

Post by gideon 60 »

i remember getting special leave for post office fishing matches. the old boys were often off on crib matches, and as 4 the good footballers, they were always off on local regional or national matches, you never hardly saw them in the season. and they say the 70,s were crap. i disagree.

i think them days have gone, but postmasters ect took great pride if they had staff who were good at sport, today no one gives a toss about anything other than profit.
