Air-Seal Products Ltd, a UK supplier of tyre sealant products, recently became the sole provider of tyre sealant to the Royal Mail Group's fleet in a three-year deal with includes the option to extend to 2015. The contract was signed in late August and will reportedly be implemented throughout their fleet with immediate effect.
The company will supply its heavy duty tyre sealant to the Royal Mail which has one of the largest van, truck and trailer fleets in the UK. “We look forward to working with the Royal Mail Group to play our part in supporting their needs and saving them money by reducing their tyre related downtime, and through preventing punctures and tyre pressure loss, increased fuel economy and reduced CO2 emissions. What a load of old tosh, if this is anything like the tyre sealant, super seal we used before .It needs the driver of the vehicle to get down on his hands and knees to remove the object in the tyre before it seals its self properly(cant see you kneeling down looking for a screw in a tyre and trying to remove it).If you are lucky and it seals the puncture without you knowing , how do you know if there isn`t more than one object in the tyre and it is still safe to drive at speed? Also is the repair classed as a permant repair? When the tyre is repaired by plug because the sealant hasn`t done it`s job the sealant has to be removed and thrown away because it doesn`t allow you to be able to balance the tyre correctly.
