The New P739 Card
Has anybody seen those new p739 cards yet.
They have made the name and address lines so small I will need to get glasses now, the bit that pisses me off is where I used to write the next day to pick your item up, i.e Monday, Tuesday, now they have moved that box to higher up position on the reverse side of the card where you are limited to a number only.
If you compare the new card with the old p739 card you will see a massive difference.
They say the postie cannot fill these in proper, they need to be designed proper.
I have tried to upload one all day but something is wrong on the RM chat site...

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: The New P739 Card
There's somethings on there which in theory are an improvement, but having to write one out, with the smaller area for the address, with an open bundle, in the pissing rain, well, it'll be more frustrating than the current one - right, own up, who designed it? Oops, sorry, I should have known - it would be someone that talks of "operational requirements" without ever having to meet or perform to them
( I wish I knew how to drive a desk, money for nothing, paperclips for free )
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

Re: The New P739 Card
Worse than the previous one in that ;
- you have to write smaller,
- there's three lines for the address when two was adequate,
- there's no box to tick anymore for "Large item" so the parcel that only just fits in the van must be a 'Packet' or a 'Catalogue'
- having the 'item has been left' on the front and 'collection/redelivery' on the back will lead to confusion - it should all be on one side, the back, again.

I use that one quite a bit, silly to get rid of it.- there's no box to tick anymore for "Large item" so the parcel that only just fits in the van must be a 'Packet' or a 'Catalogue'
They could of put that under the num of items.

Or better still under 'Catalogue', then 'Perishable item' under 'Number of items'.POSTMAN wrote:I use that one quite a bit, silly to get rid of it.- there's no box to tick anymore for "Large item" so the parcel that only just fits in the van must be a 'Packet' or a 'Catalogue'

Re: The New P739 Card
It would be nice if they were slightly more water resistant.
