First letter delivered at 12 o clock cut off at 2 o clock took five bags back to office, got in the queue at manager's office to give him the bad news. Never mind.

I didn't bring anything back but there was tons left to sort when the managers told us we could go, If they'd made us sort it all until it was done I doubt anyone would have got out before 11:30 which would have meant at least 2 bags from me more from others.

I thought that too, I was told if you take it out you deliver it or it's classed as wilful delay.

Are you saying that everyone who bought something back is slow or lazy?
When you've done 3 hours of IPS then prep everything, have 20 mins break and not out the door until gone 11, how are you meant to complete a 3.5 hour duty before your finish time?. Let me guess, you go in an hour early, load your car up and run round your delivery taking all the short cuts you can

Depends on 2 things:

1. Local agreements and arrangements.

2. That nothing went wrong on delivery (such as late replenishment, late conveyance, accident, incident etc).

There is a section in the integrity of mail stuff that deals with being unable to complete once delivery has commenced.
