The Span Indicator Tool is designed to provide a starting point when undertaking delivery revisions as to the maximum length of delivery span that is achievable within a unit.
The tool also contains an Opportunity Model to give a guide to the level of duty savings that can be achieved is this span is implemented.
Target duties can then be modelled to determine the level of staffing required to cover the workload.
The tool also contains an optional sheet ‘Duty Structures’ which allows for a more detailed opportunity model taking into account different duty types and contract lengths
