Later deliveries, fewer collections and more mistakes.

That's what we're being warned to expect if the Royal Mail closes it's sorting office in Farnborough.

A postman, who wishes to remain anonymous, says there's huge anger among workers over the proposals: "I think they feel betrayed and let down really because the mail centre on Invincible Road is quite efficient - it does a pretty good job."

He says the plans would see 100 workers forced to move from Farnborough to Hounslow in a bid to save money - with some jobs being cut.

And he claims the service will suffer.

Our postman agrees that money needs to be saved - but says it should come from other areas: "There are loads of savings to be made - we are top heavy with too many managers.

We've got managers for everything - we've even got managers for our cleaners.

We've got too many managers - it's time they were done away with."

The Royal Mail has released a statement - saying discussion are taking place over the future of the Farnborough site.

And it's too soon to say what impact the changes will have on jobs.
