Armed robberies at Suffolk post office linked

Police are linking two armed raids which took place at a Suffolk village post office in a week.

Officers were called at about 1045 BST to The Street in Capel St Mary, near Ipswich, to reports of a robbery.

The raider, wearing a black, red and white children's party mask, threatened staff and a customer with a handgun, before fleeing with cash.

The same post office was targeted on Friday by a gunman, but he left empty handed.

Suffolk Police said the man who robbed the store on Wednesday had left the village in a blue Ford with two different number plates.

He is described as white, in his 40s, very tall and large build, with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark blue sweatshirt and blue jeans.
