Post Office campaigners heading to Downing Street

RESIDENTS and businesses affected by Post Office closures in Nottingham will lobby MPs and deliver a letter to Gordon Brown today.

A lobby group has been organised by the Save Carrington and New Lenton Post Offices Action Group.

It aims to raise awareness about the impact of post office closures.

It will ask MPs to put pressure on the Government after the General Election to change the criterion for closing post offices, and apply this retrospectively.

The campaigners will lobby MPs at the House of Commons at 1pm, before delivering the letter to Gordon Brown at 10 Downing Street.
