Time limit on Stage Warning?

I was off with a medical problem for 3 weeks, back for 2 weeks, then A/L for 2 weeks.
When I was back for the 2 weeks, I was half-expecting a Stage meeting/warning as I'd previously had time off for an AOD.

But, I've been told/heard nothing at all so far. Didn't even have a Return-to-Work chat either.

Is there a "Time limit" that they have to adhere to before a Stage becomes defunct? Can they hold a "Sword of Damacles" over me as long as they want too?
( I'm sure the USA have a "Staute of Limitations" or some such term, which means that it can some times be too late to use info, evidence or to charge someone etc.)

As I see it, they have had a Month/7 weeks to put anything to me, and they haven't. Surely, there must be some sort of time scale that they must operate under, otherwise,
the "charges" could be held back for months/years.
This would make no sense at all, but then, this is RM we're talking about...

I'd really appreciate any professional advice/information.

I had a stage interview 5 months after my hernia op so i guess it can just happen anytime.

This CAN'T be right, as there must be something in writing to limit their petty vendettas?

They have up to 6 months to issue a stage warning, after that its void.

Do not mention the warning in work,More importantly dont mention the return to work interview.
I was being issued a final stage warning but had not recieved 1 return to work interview in the run up,Union rep simply put forward the case of how is he supposed to know the standards what is expected if he has never had a return to work? Told me there and then the warning would not/could not be issued,Well not warning as such,The sack!
