appeal procedure
according to the Royal Mail Conduct Code "Every employee has the right to appeal against a discipline penalty" however Royal Mail claim there is no appeal against Stage 1 & 2 Warnings and decisions made by the Accident Management Centre and possibly more, isn't this condridictory?

It is the sort of nonsense that we have to deal with every day. It is against ACAS code of practice which states that disciplinary procdures must have a right of appeal at every stage. Royal Mail get round this because stages 1 & 2 are "warnings" and no penalty is awarded. That is why there is a right of appeal at stage 3 because the "penalty" could be dismisal!!! Clever eh?
