A Cardigan woman accused of pretending that parcels had gone astray in the post has seen the case against her dismissed.

Tanya Green, aged 22, of Shirley Dale, Tanygroes, had been facing three charges of falsely maintaining that items she had sold on eBay, an internet auction website, had been lost or damaged in transit.

Green's case was transferred to Swansea crown court for a preliminary hearing on Tuesday.

The court was told that the Royal Mail no longer wished to proceed with the case and no evidence was offered.

Judge Peter Heywood entered formal verdicts of not guilty and the case was dismissed.
