A man was charged last night with the murder of Lynda Hankey who was knocked down by her car as it was allegedly being stolen.
Shaun Higgins, 23, of Leigh, Manchester, was due to appear before magistrates this morning.
Mum-of-two Ms Hankey, 42, suffered fatal head injuries outside her home on Thursday when she was flung in the air off the bonnet of her yellow MG sports car as a raider drove directly at her before speeding off.
The DHL delivery driver, of Worsley Mesnes near Wigan in Greater Manchester, had started running the engine before returning to her house to pick up girlfriend Jamie Hudson and Ms Hudson's five-year-old son.
They watched in horror as she was struck by the car.
