Alistair Darling has today broken labour policy by resorting to telling the truth about exactly how bad a mess they have made and the scale of cuts needed to put things right. Honesty is not a concept that the PM is familiar with and this could cause further divisions in the party.
Fair play to Darling who has been Chancellor at the worst possible time and has shown at least some concept of decency and honesty.
Darling is now saying that he will cut spending faster than the Tories which will no doubt shock core supporters who thought it was the opposition who would be the ones to make cuts.

Re: DARLING in "TRUTH" SHOCK !!!!!!
This will be one of the most bizzare election campaigns ever.
No-one knows what message to send out to the masses.
Cut spending and you lose voters, don't cut spending and you lose voters.
"Things are going to be sh1t but less sh1t if you vote for us" seems to be the campaign slogan for both parties.
Conditions are perfect for a move away from two party politics.
Or the lowest turnout in election history.

Perhaps we should all get together, and create our own political party, one that actually cares about the people who work for a living, instead of just feathering the nests of rich people?
