Anyone know how to turn up the backlight on a PDA

When i first got my PDA the backlight was a bright strong white light which made things easy to read. However its now faded to a dim grey and makes it really hard to make out the screen esp in bright light. I removed the screen protector sheet as that had bubbled which helped a bit but still some cutomers cannot see the box to sign in. Strangely when all the PDA's are sitting in the charging rack you can clearly see some are a lot dimmer than overs.

I ve asked my PDA trainer if he knows how to turn up the backlight but he said it cannot be done ?
My DOM just said we will have to send it away, but that was 2 months ago.

Anyone got any idea's

It sounds like you battery is going, I take it you tried a soft reboot and a hard reboot and it hasn't helped. Best thing to do is just hand it to your DOM and tell his you cannot use it until it's working properly and let him send it away to be fixed (and he'll have to give you a replacement because he gets into trouble for not scanning items in).

Could be the battery but its dim from 100% ? Yes tried soft/hard boots, removing battery etc. It seemed to change after it received a flash update a while ago. Oh there is no spare PDA's so they cant send it off. It looks not too bad in the darker office but show it some daylight and its quite dim.

Go in early and swap it for someone elses PDA (best doing it to the office creep/runner) and say nothing else about it

100% charge the maximum on mine would be 95% after being on a charge all night

There's a little orange pic of a lightbulb above one of the keys - the dot I think. Press the orange button on the left and then hold down the button with the light bulb, the PDA will cycle through the different brightness levels.

I didn't know that keep this up and you'll become the PDA Moderator

Yeah i did think of swapping it for one of the brighter ones BUT they have stickers with our walk numbers on

Gave the orange button and bulb symbol a go today and it worked a treat Backlight upto full brightness
Also showed some others to get thier PDA brighter Great TIP!
