Another postal strike in Boro next Tuesday!!

I have read a lot of comments on this board about the latest postal strikes and christ it is hard going.

I have worked at Cannon Park For many many years and the job has changed beyond all recognition.

You have to move with the times, but some of the people I work with dont seem to realise this.

All they want to do is get finished asap - which is pointless

These are the people who do start before their time, and use there own cars to get a flyer. Then they complain when asked to take more mail from another round, to take them up to their finish time.

How can anyone seriously complain about having to work their contracted hours.

I have heard so much bullsh1t about people being forced to work extra, which is not true

I prefer to start and finish at my correct time, working at a decent pace but not flogging myself to death for the sake of 15-30 mins, and using royal mail transport rather than my own.

If I have too much mail to deliver before my scheduled finish time, then it falls on the gaffer to get it done, not me.

This is what the union have advised us to do for years , but because it doesnt suit, the soft XXXXXXs won't do it. Now that royal mail are catching up on people, and stopping these flyers they don't like it.

You can stand up for yourself in other ways rather than going on strike. Doing your job properly and refusing to work extra, because job cuts have left you with too much mail left to deliver, within your allotted time.

That is why, when asked to strike, I refuse.

I have worked through the previous strikes in the last month in Middlesbrough and will do so again next Tuesday when they strike.

Sorry for the rant, I know this is a footy board but seeing a lot of shlte spouted on these boards I wanted to put my side of it
