Postal workers are striking today in Maidenhead over 'unagreed working practices'.

Up to 120 people may be involved in today's strike, which threatens to disrupt services across the town and beyond for several days.

A Royal Mail poster at the Stafferton Way site warns customers about the day-long strike.

"Royal Mail is really disappointed the CWU (Communication Workers Union) is taking industrial action in Maidenhead," it reads.

"We know you rely on our services and we're really sorry for the inconvenience this may cause you."

Customers can still pick up post from Stafferton Way but other services are likely to be affected, the Royal Mail added.

Dave Warren, of the Communication Workers Union (CWU) said that the decision to strike, partly over working schedules, was not taken lightly.
