It's a review of the Logistics side of the operation. Haw many Lorries going to where, and at what time.

Re: Network 2009
I don't know. It's usually just the Drivers. But they might have increased the scope of it this time. Or there could be an overlap, with the weekend changes. Because one would affect the other.
Hopefully, someone a bit more knowledgable will be able to clear this up.

Re: Network 2009
My original question about Network 2009 is mainly to do with the movement of mail around the country with Heavy goods vehicles.
The new duties for the HGV drivers are due to begin on the 7th Sept.
In some vehicle operating centres the drivers have had their duties picked for them by management instead of having a re-pick in seniority order, guys who do days or lates being put on to nights, people who don't do weekend work have been given Saturday/Sunday duties, its caused loads of ill feeling and problems for a lot of the drivers.
Rumour had it that the 7th Sept had gone tits up, problem is with RM managements attitude at the moment I can't see them taking a backward step from any of their imposed changes!!!

Re: Network 2009
Will the Network 2009 result in mail centres getting their work in later?

Re: Network 2009
Rumour has it that your assumption is correct. We are being told that they want more people on 'twilight' shift (1800-0200) in our RDC, with a corresponding reduction in Early duties. That's got to mean work is despatched to mail centres later than is currently the case, surely ?SpacePhoenix wrote:Will the Network 2009 result in mail centres getting their work in later?

Was it implemented in the end on Monday? If so, how much later are you sending out artics to MCs covered by your RDC?Carnoustie wrote:Rumour has it that your assumption is correct.
