Man arrested over postman assault

Repeated attacks on a local postman resulted in the capture of the attacker at the end of last month.

An assault outside the Royal Mail building in Aitken Street in Largs occurred at 1.40pm on Thursday 30 August had been one of a long line of incidents.

The complainer was a 28 year old employee of Royal Mail. A 27 year old man, also from Largs, has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with punching the victim on the head and the face. Witnesses were present and the police were contacted. The 27 year old was identified and charged in connection with the assault.
