This doesnt apply to me but theres a guy in my office that went sick for a few days and when it came round to his rotating week off he was told he had to work 3 days of it because he was sick for 3 days.
Can this be done? and if so are those 3 days going to go against his sick record?

What a pile of s**t,if you're sick,you're sick regardless of what your shifts are.
Now if the guy wants to use 3 rest days up so the sick does not go on his record then that is down to him.
But for sure the manager CAN'T FORCE him to come in on those 3 days ffs!

MM sounds like they are trying to massage figures again! no doubt there is a bonus for them if they keep sicknessrates down. more dodgy dealing from our bosses.This could be construed as fraud.

I had to go off for 2 days last year,had to cut my shift short as i'd hurt my back,dim said you're off next week so shall i give you 2 days holiday instead of sick.
My sick record is very good so i told him to stuff it.
But saying that it can work in your favour if your sick is a bit dodgy.
But i'll do it on my terms not theirs.
