Waiting list?

Post by Green »

Hi all!
I’ve been lurking around here for a while now and a lot the threads have already been really helpful so thanks :Very Happy
Anyway, I had an interview recently at a mail centre in Manchester. I got an email soon after saying that I had passed and they would contact me shortly, naturally I was very pleased and thought I’d be able to start soon.
Then today I get an email telling me again that I have passed, however the position I originally applied for is no longer available and so I have been put on a waiting list…
Did this happen to anyone else? What does it actually mean? Am I guaranteed a job when it comes up?
I’d really appreciate help/info anyone can give me. Thanks!

Thats what they do. You will probably get a call when they have another vacancy. You should'nt need another interview.

Like u I went for an interview - I didn't get that particular job but was told I would be put on a waiting list. Didn't have to wait long until a vacancy came up and it was closer to home! Good luck

Hi,

I'm in a similar position to yourself, went for the interview and was pretty much told the job was mine 4 days later i recieved an email to say i'd been put on a waiting list and did not have to re-apply for any other similar roles due to passing the assessments. have you heard anything back?

Regards

Diane : :Very Happy
