Change of starting times

Post by DGP1 »

We had our Work Time Lying session today and were informed that from August our starting times are being put back by up to 2 hours, although the lorry will only by 1/2 hour later.

How stupid can management be, with such a degree of staff anger and a strike vote you would have thought they would have shown some common sense and at least delayed the announcement (I can only think that pinkshirt (Mr Bulls***) and Crozier (someone you would never tire kicking) are setting it up to privatise (and make themselves a fortune).

Rant Rant Rant I have to go and calm down (breathe in breathe out repeat)

likewise mate

We got told our times are going from 5.00 to 6.15, but the lorry will be moving from 4.45 to 5.30. Where's the logic? Oh I forgot this RM isn't it - the land of no-logic!

And no one in the office wants to change

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I'VE TRIED TO STALL IT BY GOING TO STAGE 1 DISAGREEMENT. OUR LAST VAN WILL LAND 15 MINUTES LATER AND THEY WANT US 2 START AT 6AM.

We went from 05.00 to 06.30 because the rep told us we had no choice as the vans would all be arriving later. We had a sham of a vote based on false information. What happened? People were still arriving at the old start time and throwing in because they want to finish early. We're the only office to have this and it sucks. Some people like it. Habitual drunks who can't get their arses out of bed, the rep, the DOM and screws. Most people don't. Those with kids, those who watch or play sports on Saturdays, those with a life outside of work.

As we don't have a rep in our unit at the moment, can some one advise me what I need to put in the letter to DOM in order to take this to disagreement?

No one wants it, and we can't see any beneifit to the business, the customers or ourselves.

Phone up your Area Rep and get him/her to put the letter of disagreement in, on behalf of your Unit. Or get him/her to type it up, and someone from the unit hand it in.
