it looks highly likely that my job is to be lapsed on a permanent basis.what are management obliged to offer me in those circumstances.would redundancy be one option?.the phase "managing the surplus" comes to mind. any help would be gratefully received.

In my mc if your job ceases you would usually be offered another duty on the
same attendance. If there are no vacant duties you would be made a reserve
on that attendance.
