Dear Colleague
50:50 Efficiency Scheme

Branches/Representatives will be aware that the above Efficiency Scheme that was included within the terms of the Pay & Modernisation Agreement ceased in April this year.
We have been advised that the final payment due for the last quarter October 2008 to April 2009 to all Units that achieved savings over and above their financial budget will be received with their pay on Friday 22nd May 2009. The details of the individual payments to the members in each of the offices/Units that have qualified should be communicated and displayed locally.

All enquiries regarding the content of this LTB should be addressed as appropriate to Martin Collins, Assistant Secretary Indoor Department quoting reference number L4.07.

Our office once got about 7 quid--while the office a few miles away got ovwe 200! don't think they are
made to be acheivable in most offices,it seems every couple of years, when it looks like the vast majority of offices
MIGHT acheive it, they change the bonus system again. conned as usual!

tickles me the title does. 50-50 scheme it's realy only 41.5% as 9% is taken first for tax and NI purposes, this is 1.5% more than the 60-40 split we had previously agreed to.

What doesn't seem fair though(given that we are all supposed to be equall under the sun, pulling in the same direction and all that) is that this :cfo slimey individual has a bonus scheme that paid out over 150kthat he has been allowed to put into a long term incentive scheme and has doubled in its first year. Appears wer'e not all equall under the sun and some veiw their pulling power to be significantly greater than others,
we take our direction from a second rate ad man although 2nd rate is a promotion tho so that might explain the shameful difference in wages and bonuses.

Depends what :lfo :cfo these 2's ultimate target was - it was certainly not more cash in yours and my pocket, but as an aide to divide and conquer the CWU. Looks like its working in some places.

You raise a good point there, I wonder how many offices across the UK will actually receive anything? And how many posties understand how the target figure is reached and what is and isn't included. This isn't the first bonus scheme RM have had that is totally nonsensical.

Didnt get any bonus? then you are not as good as us we are getting 2 thousand and our managers have a 100 thousand quid to shair out between 5 because we run around not walk come in early unpaid work overtime for nothing and allow 40 hours to go to 22 hours by evr. you lot will never get nothing if you keep doing your job properly so stop thinking of tomorrow just think of today.
