BRISTOL, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A groundbreaking online marketing resource has launched in the UK to help small businesses improve their marketing. Backed by Royal Mail and Google, Marketing Donut will combine the advice and wisdom of well over 100 marketing, sales and PR experts, and includes great offers from both companies.
Marketing Donut, which went live today, has been developed in response to demand for high quality, free advice covering all aspects of marketing. Small business owners who use the site can access hundreds of pages of practical information, dozens of videos, and a host of online tools and resources absolutely free. They can also post questions and contact experts directly.
James Elias, Google UK’s Head of Business Marketing, said that the timing for the launch of Marketing Donut is perfect. “Given increased pressure to perform, businesses are really looking for a competitive edge – and most small businesses are seeking high quality marketing information.”
“Marketing Donut is a valuable resource where they’ll be able to compare different forms of marketing in one place, and get the advice and support they want. We’re pleased to be involved.”
Tim Rivett, Head of Small Business for Royal Mail, said: "Royal Mail are committed to providing products and services that help small business across the UK grow - whether that be helping them find and keep customers through cost-effective and creative direct marketing campaigns to fulfilling their mail and packet delivery needs.
"In the current economic climate, small businesses are looking at targeted and accountable ways of advertising their products and services. We are delighted to support the Marketing Donut and its ambition to help small businesses thrive through practical marketing advice and online tools, to deliver benefits to the bottom line."
Because it is backed by founding sponsors Google and Royal Mail, Marketing Donut is free of advertisements. Both companies are also offering great deals to anyone who registers to the site.
Rory MccGwire is managing director of BHP Information Solutions, the company behind Marketing Donut. He said: “We know there is huge demand for an online destination like this, and we’re already receiving heavy interest. Watch this space.”
