Accident at Lincoln Ave/Anniesland Road.Glasgow mid December
Hi ,
I was involved in said accident, badly injured and other than be aware I was hit from behind I have no recollection of what happened and no feedback from either my insurance company or Glasgows finest due to data protection.
Today I heard a whisper there may have been witnesses from the Royal Mail sorting office close to the accident area as it was on a Saturday lunchtime.Would greatly appreciate any response.

Welcome to RMC Furio. I don't work in that area myself, but I'll move this to the "Blue Shirts" section, so more people will see your request for info. I hope someone on here can help you.

Re: Accident at Lincoln Ave/Anniesland Road.Glasgow mid December
you would be better going to the DO in question and speaking to the guys
most likely if you go about the same time as your accident you will see some posties around
what time was it?

No problem. I just wish I'd thought of suggesting that you go in person to the DO, as Custard suggested.furio wrote:Thanx Andy, have purposely left it for a few days in the hope of someone doing what you did.Appreciate your help.
But I'm sure that they will be happy to help you, if they can.

WHAT?!?!?
Are you serious?!?!?
No-one sets foot in our RDC without either an RM ID, or some other form of Photo ID (if they're not employees)! There's someone permenantly on Reception, checking IDs. There's already been one unfortunate person, who had to go away, until he had some ID to present. Quite embarrasing, but neccessary. There's a lot of high value items that go through the Post you know.
If I were you. I'd get onto IB fast, and get this sorted out.

Oh. That's a bit worrying. But even if you don't have anyone guarding the door, and dealing with any incoing phone calls. Surely if one of you sees someone that you don't recognise, you ask them for ID. If not, anyone could wander in, and steal parcels, cards, etc.. And no-one would be any the wiser.

Operation Trojan - IB and managers from other units do exactly that.andy2007 wrote:Oh. That's a bit worrying. We have Trojans occassionally, whenever I done cover in the gatehouse I checked ID and parking permits of everyone I did'nt know, which was quite alot of people as barely knew everyone on the evening processing shift. The MC has had Trojans get in, they have to get through the building unchallenged and put a letter on a managers desk, which I presume says that the security has been breached.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Operation Trojan - IB and managers from other units do exactly that.andy2007 wrote:Oh. Trojans
I thought they were condoms
We have no reception, any postie passing the phone answers it, the gate is never closed, people can just walk in off the street to collect their post/parcels, the managers now spend as much time doing posties work (IPS/prepping etc but not delivery) to be able to challange anyone coming in and TBH the staff are so fed up with the crap they have to put up with they just keep their heads down (or facing forward) and ignore everything else that goes on. If the management want security then they can pay for it and not expect us to do another job that we can be sacked over.
