How was your day ? I spent nearly 5 hours slipping and stomping through ankle deep slush in the rain. A few customers came out and thanked me for the delivery which was actually really nice . However i was struggling towards the end as snow chains really kill your feet.

We asked at the beginning of the week for chains for our shoes, we were told they were handed out to everyone before xmas No one in my office has seen any so we reckon the managers have sold them for scrap Another manager said they now have to be ordered from uniform, is that true or more bull****?

was terrible weather wise
did 10 hours today on the van
were i work theirs barley a flat road and sliding in the van was so scary.
up a slight incline i was doomed lol
had to snake up foot flat down in 3rd gear moving about 2mph

also had to run 300 yards to deliver a special as it was at bottom of the hill haha.

all good fun and now im absolute shattered.

i ran to the van panicked opened wrong door finally got in drivers side
by time id got in they opened passenger and lobbed 3 masive snow balls at me lol
there was ice every ware inside

was fun but thank ogt it was only ice

Yes - I wear them in icy conditions - you notice the difference when going up hill.

They are really good in fresh fallen snow as you can walk normally. They also help on ice, you will still slip though, but you normally get some grip before you actually fall over. They were'nt so good in the slush as it kind of built up on the sole of your shoe and reduced their effect. The only down side i ve found is by the end of the delivery they can make the bottom of your feet ache. However thats better than going over on your butt.
I ve had mine about 6 years but no one seems to know where you order new pairs from ? Our managers used to stand on the door in snowy weather and only let you out if you had chains on but this time not even a word.

Yeah i got plastered by some little darlings the other day . Its all done as fun and i prob done the same at their age but its not much joy when your struggling to get a job done

Yeah, they do. But watch out for snow over ceramic tiles. Absolutely lethal.

We were issued these snow chains once, Nine years ago if I remember right.
Most people chucked theirs when the snow had gone. I've still got mine and I use them.
