Early Day Motion 428 : Royal Mail
All CWU Branches are reminded to continue to press their local Members of Parliament to sign the Early Day Motion 428. A hard copy of the same is attached at Annex A.
At the time of drafting this LTB, the number of signatures stand at 113 - 102 Labour MPs - 1 Independent Labour - 1 Independent – 1 Lib Dem – 1 Plaid Cymyu - 1 Respect - 3 Scottish National Party – 3 Social & Democratic and Labour Party. We do not support the amendment by Bob Spink. Annex A gives status of MPs.
Annex B gives details of Members who are supported by Trade Unions. At Annex C is the Joint Statement by CWU and Unite which will be of use.

National Rally and Lobby
All CWU Branches should note that a National Rally and Lobby will be held on Tuesday February 24th 2009 in Lecture Hall, Central Hall, Westminster, Storeys Gate, London, SW1H 9NH.
