A postman has quit after being suspended on suspicion of nicking 500 Christmas gifts and selling them on eBay.
The presents included laptops, games consoles, DVDs and toys. One postie said: "You would think it was a shop - we couldn't believe it?"
The man resigned a week after being suspended from the Coventry depot.
Royal Mail is probing and said: "We have a zero tolerance approach to dishonesty and always seek to prosecute the tiny minority who abuse their positions of trust." The employee has denied theft.
