mail volumes

Post by lover »

we have on a few occasions in our office had pinned up on our notice.facts and figures for the weeks mail volume/costs /sickness etc.all telling us how awful we are .and another sheet shows all weeks in the financial yeart.without exception our mail volume has been within just a few percent of our targets.but we dont weigh our mail any more.they say bristol weights it for us.well a couple of weeks ago we weighted our own.
can anyone guess the result?

that one week on our graph it shot to the top instead of being around target we actually had 107 percent increase over target .

weve gone from being the whole year under by 5-6 percent to a mail increase of 9 percent.

they told us to stop weighting it.

why do you think that is?

Moved to blue shirts.

And what a lovely topic it is as well. :chuckle

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Here we go again    We always weigh our mail and it's ALWAYS more than what the MC says and whenever we use our figures it makes the office run better because the budget increases.

Mail volumes are down for RM as most of it has been creamed off by UKMail et al...

Overall mail volumes arent down...only a numpty would suggest otherwise.

Its just senoir management putting spin on the terms for their own gain.

We had the same thing happen in May June this year - volumes up when we were weighing it as we did before and counting perstops, yorks and shrouds, and then when we were told to stop and the MC became responsible for reporting volumes they went down. Still we are only bag carriers we have no idea what we are talking about. :nervous
