Dear Colleagues,
HSE Documentary - Channel 4, Thursday 4 December 2008 9pm
The HSE have informed us of a Channel 4 "Cutting Edge" documentary due to go out on Thursday 4 December at 9pm entitled "The Fun Police" which portrays the work of the Health and Safety Executive and its remarkable HSL laboratories in Buxton, telling the tale of the inspectors, consultants and council officials who make it their business to protect us from harm. Thanks to them, Britain has become one of the safest countries in the world, but has our obsession with health and safety gone too far? The programme is due to feature the work of HSE inspectors and Local Authority EHOs carrying out their work in East Anglia (centred around Chelmsford and Norwich offices). Note: TV schedules are subject to change.
Yours Sincerely
Dave Joyce
National Health, Safety & Environment Officer

Actually set my timer on the SKY for this programme duly watched it and it was IMHO a complete waste of time.
