Bristol postie, Paul Evans, pictured, turned into a genie to help launch this year's Christmas stamps, which are inspired by some of the best-loved characters in pantomime.
He donned a cloak, beard and turban to match the magical giant from Aladdin, who is set to appear on millions of Royal Mail first class stamps.
Other stamps in the set, which go on sale next Tuesday, feature the Ugly Sisters from Cinderella, Captain Hook from Peter Pan and the Wicked Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Royal Mail spokesman Mike Dalton said: "Pantomime is a genre unique to the UK, with a tradition stretching back hundreds of years.
"It certainly provided me with my first experience of live theatre and is always one of the highlights of Christmas."
Last year's 1st and 2nd Class Madonna and Child stamps, featuring a work by Lippo di Dalmasio produced between 1390 and 1400, will also be available again.
