30 second rule

Post by Flashman »

Has anyone else heard of the 30 second rule?

There were recently two accidents at work, one involved someone lifting an overweight bag and another involving a driver who injured himself whilst getting in or out of his vehicle.
When these two accidents were written up in a brief by the area manager he said that, 'if the 30 second rule had been applied, these two accidents could have been avoided'.

I have never heard this rule being mentioned before or since, and I would be interested to know if other people are aware of the 30 second rule.

Never ever came across it before suggest you pen a written letter to your area manager asking him to explain just what exactly this application of the 30 second rule is? Then if you are lucky to get a written response back let us all know.

30 second rule

this rule will no doubt be RM policy so would be easily acessible from their own RM intranet i'm sure.

I find the questioning of an RM managers honesty quite scathing at times.
Confused... You won't be, after the next episode of. SOAP
