PATIENTS and business owners have hit out over the disruption late post has been causing in Cam and Dursley.
Householders say in recent weeks there have been significant disruptions to their mail deliveries, with letters and parcels arriving weeks late.
The issues appear to be affecting surrounding areas as well, including Wotton.
One resident shared the impact the delays have had on their healthcare.
They said: "My hospital appointment letters arrived after the appointment.
"Not everyone is online or has the NHS app."
The problem extends beyond residential addresses, with small businesses also feeling the effects.

One business owner said: "We are literally getting three weeks of post at a time and as a small business owner, this is causing problems.
"Post delivered three weeks after postage is really unhelpful and the delays are costing small businesses money."
MP Simon Opher said he was aware of the issues, adding that he was trying to meet Royal Mail managers to find out how they are going to tackle them.
Mr Opher said: "I'm aware of the problems with the postal service locally, and especially in Dursley and Cam, and understand that these are the result of issues around the introduction of new contracts.
"I have been trying to meet management so that I can better understand the problems they face and their plan to sort things out."
A Royal Mail spokesperson said: "We know how important reliable deliveries are, particularly when people are waiting for bills, appointments or other important letters.
"We are continuing to deliver mail across Dursley and Cam.
"At times, individual deliveries may be affected by short-term local issues, and where this happens our teams work to clear any outstanding mail as quickly as possible, with items not delivered that day prioritised for the next working day."
"Our current performance shows that more than 92 per cent of all letters are delivered on time and over 99 per cent within a week, meaning longer delays are rare.
"However, we know there is more to do and remain focused on improving reliability for all customers."
The news comes as Royal Mail announces changes to its second class delivery service, with letters and cards now delivered every other weekday.
