I am seriously considering quitting as a postman or asking for a transfer to the local mail centre or just getting another job until next summer.
What I'm asking is, is it easy to get a transfer to the mail centre from a delivery office?
Also, is it a weeks notice of resignation?
Thanks

Transfer to mail centre...
Thought you didn't like working in the MC last Xmas?
If you do want a transfer though you should ask your HR dept what the chances are.
I wouldn't think they're too good as FT jobs are being cut in MCs.
Might be worth volunteering to work in the MC at Xmas again this year, and then finding out if it
would be possible to stay on.
If I were you I wouldn't pack in te job as it might be difficult to find another one as the economy goes
into recession.

True, I hated it last year, but looking back it was the easiest 2 weeks since I started the job (apart from A/L of course
)
I'm going back to college/uni in the summer, but I'd rather have another job until then.
Hate the managers, hate most of the full-time guys, hate drivers.
