Evri has sacked a courier after a large number of parcels went undelivered in Salisbury.
Over the last few months, parcels have been going missing or have not been delivered to the correct addresses in Salisbury, all of them from the delivery company Evri.
Tish Burbidge, a Salisbury pensioner, has said she has had up to seven parcels go missing, and she says it is "extraordinarily annoying."
Tish said: "My problem is that I think in the last eight months, I've not received six or seven parcels. So almost one a month. We have the additional problem, which I do understand, is that I am on The Greencroft, but you've actually also got Greencroft Street.
"I've had photographs, because they're supposed to show proof of where they've left the stuff. The proof was nowhere near the Greencroft or Greencroft Street. I mean, literally, it was almost somewhere near Churchfield's. So, a long way away.
"It’s extraordinarily annoying and also, you know, I'm now on a pension and money is tight, and I can't afford to lose money like that. It's just, it's just not practicable. So, it has certainly made me rethink who I buy from in terms of who they use as couriers."
Laura Clark is also a Salisbury resident, and she runs two Facebook groups for people who have lost parcels.
Laura said: "I have not personally had any issues, but I admin the Facebook groups and it is happening a lot.
"If you look at people's proof of delivery pictures, there are multiple posts from so many people all saying the same and nearly all of the parcels are taken on the same property, but at different angles and parts of that one property."
In the pictures posted by concerned members of the public, they all had van number 68 listed on the package, and the pictures seemed to have been taken at the same property; however, residents never received their delivery.
In response, an Evri spokesperson has said: "Every parcel matters to us, and we are committed to making every delivery experience a good one. We are sorry when one of our couriers doesn’t look after parcels in the way we expect, but the vast majority of our 30,000 couriers are hardworking members of the local community and take pride in their work.
"A third-party contractor was supporting with deliveries in the area, but they didn’t meet our standards, and so they will no longer be delivering on behalf of Evri. A new local courier is in place, and the team are monitoring deliveries in the area."
