anyone recall starburst? this idea centered around multipule walk deliveries being performed by a team working
from a van. the word starburst envisaged the team leaping from the vehicle a la skydivers before racing away
to complete the walks and then meeting up with the van on completion.
well guess what? the revised starburst has just been revealed. all bikes are to be rendered obsolete, and staff will be
supplied with vehicles [ two posties to a van] . these teams will cover extended walks and will include all packets and
parcels for these areas. i,am told the bikes are going because of the amount of accident claims has rocketed.
because of the extra vehicles some duties will be allowed to take their vans home for the night.
ther has been little mention of a reduction of staff save the absorbtion of some p/tme duties to create a lesser
number of f/tme duties. it strikes me that this is the economics of the madhouse.introduction time is given as
eighteen months, lets hope somebody sobers up before then.
