A Thornhill resident was left "horrified" after seeing an Evri courier take a photo of a random door for proof of delivery, before dumping a parcel in the communal area of the block of flats.

Wade Lander, who has previously told the Echo of his frustrations with the delivery courier, received doorbell camera footage of a Evri driver making a delivery in his block of flats on Tatwin Crescent.

The courier walks up to a door, which was not the flat that was expecting the parcel, and takes of a photo of it near the letterbox.

He then walks away to leave the building and drops the parcel on the floor in the flat's communal area.

"The door he has taken a photo of wasn't the one that was expecting the delivery," Wade explained to the Echo.

"He's picked a random door and taken a photo of it, then dropped it walking off. There's just no self-respect."

The driver appears to not even make an attempt to deliver the parcel to the correct numbered flat.

A spokesperson for Evri has said a replacement "delivery partner" will be put in place to "improve service".

Wade said "any proof of delivery" he receives from Evri is "the same".

"It's a photo of a door," he said.

"Not a numbered door, because all the doors have numbers on it, there's never numbers.

"Just a photo the way you can see it in the video, at the letterbox and take a photo."

The Thornhill resident previously told the Echo that the issues he is facing have led him to reach out to businesses and ask them to send his parcels with anyone but Evri.

On previous occasions, he has reached out to delivery couriers and been offered a refund for poor delivery services.

"It’s not about having a refund, we’ve paid for something because we want it.

"You pay a premium for it to be delivered, it’s not like it’s dirt cheap, we pay above the odds because we don’t want to go out and get it."

An Evri spokesperson apologised to any residents that "have been impacted by poor service in this area".

The spokesperson said: "This falls below the high standards we expect, and we are working hard to put a replacement delivery partner in place to improve service."
