EP group board meeting today aswell so you would like to think some sort of update could be due. But this is the CWU so maybe around October. I’m only half kidding.

I left after the last shambles, still paying for the last “pay rise” negotiated 👍 ….the pay rise was due April 1st am I the only one that thinks it should have been all ready to by that date, all this dragging it out makes people think they’re getting a deal when in reality we’ll get what we get so don’t get upset

Any offer has to be voted on by the members so it could be quite a while before anything is excepted yet.

It is very important members do actually vote as low numbers can be bad for further negotiations should a NO vote prevail. For e.g…

Say 80,000 members vote and a NO vote prevails looking like this - 45,000 voted NO, 35,000 voted YES, the company know they only have to get 10,000 ppl to change their minds so only throw in a little improvement in a new offer in hopes to get the vote accepted/ pushed through.

Disappointing that we did not hear anything from our union yesterday, hopefully we might hear something today.

Absolutely mental people can't be bothered to vote on such an important issue,it literally takes seconds.

Seriously annoys me too. I spent a large part of my working life in a different union before joining RM and it was similar there too. People not updating their home address let along their email address, like come on people this is actually important! Voting process was through an email service, could not have been easier.

Does anyone have any clue what is happening? Did they get any sort of agreement over the weekend? Did anything get proposed to the board yesterday?

Or has the CWU just had its pants pulled down.

No point in voting, it gets rigged and pushed through anyway

Once the CWU recommends it to its members, that’s them saying this is as good as it gets , so always gets voted through, even that disastrous last agreement got voted through.
