A parcel collection facility could remain on the side of offices in a coastal town after plans were lodged.
An InPost parcel locker had been unveiled on the side of purpose-built offices and commercial premises in Lowestoft in February.
The outdoor parcel locker had been sited at Stanley House - on the corner of Stanley Street and Walton Road.
But now agents NL Jones Planning have lodged a "retrospective application" on behalf of the applicant InPost UK with East Suffolk Council.
Centring around "Retrospective application for siting an InPost Parcel Locker" at Stanley House, Stanley Street in Lowestoft, it is currently 'awaiting decision.'
The 24/7 locker at Stanley House is described as an "Outdoor locker, to right of front door on Stanley Street" in a site area measuring 6sq m.
Planning documents said: "InPost offers an affordable and eco-friendly parcel locker service so people can collect, send and return parcels at a time which suits them, eliminating the need for door-to-door journeys and repeat deliveries."
With more than 5,000 lockers installed across the UK, it added: "These lockers provide a straightforward solution for parcel delivery and collection."
East Suffolk Council is likely to make a decision in the coming weeks.
