17 minutes of pure reaction. The CWU isn't going to convince workers that it is protecting them when the lead negotiator claims to be going to improve 'SSP'. SSP is a benefit control by the most rancid right wing Labour government in history. The government supported by the CWU. When's the playTV department going to learn that Walsh is a liability. Every time he speaks he's just confirming what workers know. The CWU is useless.

If a probable 9 hr + day, and almost doing double the walking comes in - then no pay rise will matter as we'll all be so knackered to do anything. Any other options being offered ? All we've heard is 3 doing 4 duties, two doing the walking of 4 duties - the third doing dpr - no idea where the 4th postie is, unless they've handed their notice in. Bring on the vr, 1 yrs money and im off.

They need to get us down to a 36hr week 9 day fought night with a small pay rise. The reality will be a nightmare.

Our lead COM has already told us that our office is going to the reformed USO in August regardless of what happens in the trials

Are they trials? I thought they were pilots (ie the rollout will occur come what may after the pilot phase).

Happening by stealth in our office & I suspect many others. We’ve had approximately half the staff in in Mon/Tues this week due to S/L,A/L & loads being given these as days off. Hence most people are going across 2 walks delivering just “priority” items.

Meanwhile RM now willing to charge £1.70 for a 1st class stamp that is being deliberately delayed. Just like the water company directors this mob are being given free rein to act as legalised criminals. If you or I knowingly defrauded someone you’d quite rightly end up in court & yet if you’ve got a poncy job title with a huge salary you can get away with it on a large scale. Maybe it’s time for one of these MPs who only jump up & down about RM’s performance when it affects their constituents should consider launching legal action against the Board for fraud.

who actually benefits from the SWW?
yes you drop an hour and remain on the same take home pay because your £15 per week raise-ish is eaten up by dropping an hour, thus to keep up with paying the bills you need to do an hour or 2 overtime, which isn't pensionable leaving even less upon retirement!
why does the british working man now want to work less?
we are becoming spineless workshy workers want to do as least as possible in the least possible time,
what happened to the 8hrs per day honest graft and go home knowing you've earned a crust
if we were still on the 39hr shift we would earn over £27.30 more + more in pension pot
but 39 hrs now with the current overtime rate it's 2hrs for £26.80 non pensionable pay

Well put us on 8 hour days for a decent crust then. We both know the outcome will benefit no one.

Nothing, this bunch of charlatans and crooks running RM and the CWU, is done for the benefit of the employees. The sooner people realise this the better.

I actually think people are finally waking up to that fact.
